Yassine Bounou Rules Out Playing for Raja: I am a Wydad Son
Sunday 22-02-2026
The Moroccan international Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper for Al-Hilal Saudi Club, revealed his stance on the possibility of transferring one day to Raja Athletic Club, affirming that it remains unlikely given his previous affiliation.

Bono explained, during his appearance on a radio program, that he cannot play for any team considered a direct competitor to the clubs he has played for, whether in Morocco or abroad, citing his experience with Raja and Real Betis.

The "Atlas Lions" goalkeeper said: "Among these clubs is Raja, since I am a son of the Wydad Athletic Club, so it is difficult for me to play there one day."

Bono also emphasized that competition on the field does not undermine mutual respect, affirming that he has never faced any difficult situations from rival club fans. Instead, respect has always been present, expressing his appreciation for all the fans and the clubs they support.

Bono's statements remain a clear message of loyalty to his affiliation, amidst the historical sensitivity between the two Casablanca rivals.
