Final Rejection of Juventus' Request: Suspension of Kalulu Upheld
Friday 20-02-2026
Gabriele Gravina, the president of the Italian Football Federation, rejected Juventus' request to pardon their defender Pierre Kalulu and to cancel the red card he recently received.

Juventus had previously submitted an official appeal to cancel the red card, hoping to lift the suspension on the player, but the relevant committee rejected the request and upheld the penalty as it was.

The club did not stop there; it also submitted a direct appeal to the president of the Italian Federation to obtain a special pardon that would allow Kalulu to participate in the upcoming matches during a critical stage of the season.

However, Gravina also rejected the appeal, resulting in the suspension being finalized, which represents a blow to Juventus given their need for all their players in the upcoming period.
