Jesus: I Don't Object to the Schedule... and We Achieved Two Goals from the Arkadag Match
Thursday 19-02-2026
The Portuguese Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al-Nassr, stated that objecting to the match schedule is an administrative matter, emphasizing that his focus is solely on preparing the team to compete in the league and the AFC Champions League.

Jesus said in the press conference: "We aim to win both championships by putting in maximum effort. We play a match every three days, which is normal for any team participating in more than one tournament. If there are any objections, they are an administrative matter and not within my purview."

The Portuguese coach added: "The match against Arkadag had two objectives; the first was to qualify for the next round, and the second was to involve as many players as possible, especially Abdulrahman Gharib, who got his chance, scored, and performed excellently."

Jesus explained that the length of the league journey requires the readiness of all players, emphasizing that having more than one standout player gives the team additional strength. He pointed out that the strategy will be determined according to each stage, especially with the pressure of matches, injuries, and suspensions.

He concluded his remarks by noting the improvement in defensive performance, stating that the team played nine consecutive matches without conceding any goals, thanks to the players' commitment and efforts, despite going through a tough period due to injuries to some key players like Simakan and Ayman Yahya.
