Schalke 04 terminated the contract of German winger Amin Younes immediately, ending his stint with the team. The player of Lebanese descent played 31 matches for the club since joining.

Sporting director Frank Baumann explained that Younes' chances of playing have become extremely limited following the club's successful winter transfer window, which does not align with the player's ambitions. This led both parties to terminate the contract and allow him the opportunity to seek a new experience during the current market.

For his part, Younes bid farewell to Schalke fans with a message on his Instagram account, wishing the team success for the rest of the season, as they lead the standings in the German second division and are close to achieving a significant accomplishment by the end of the season.

It is noted that Younes previously played for Ajax between 2015 and 2018, before moving to Napoli and then having several experiences in Germany, Saudi Arabia, and the Netherlands, before joining Schalke in 2024. The club has now ended his tenure, and the player is starting the search for a new club.
