The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation has issued its decision regarding the protest filed by Al-Ittihad Jeddah against the participation of Abdullah Al-Hamdan, the Al-Nassr striker, in the match between the two teams during the 21st round of the Saudi Roshn League.

The match, held on Friday, February 6, witnessed Abdullah Al-Hamdan's debut in the Al-Nassr jersey, as he came on as a substitute in the game that ended with Al-Nassr's 2-0 victory. This prompted Al-Ittihad to file an official protest, claiming his participation was not in compliance with the regulations.

Al-Hamdan joined Al-Nassr during the last winter transfer window after unilaterally terminating his contract with Al-Hilal just six days before its expiration, which sparked controversy over his eligibility to play.

The Disciplinary Committee confirmed in its statement that it had contacted Al-Nassr Club and the Professionalism and Players' Status Committee. The protest was accepted in form but rejected in substance, noting that the decision is subject to appeal according to Article 144 of the regulations.
