Arsenal is preparing to enter the race to sign Spanish winger Nico Williams, a player for Athletic Bilbao, during the upcoming summer transfer window, amidst increasing interest from Barcelona as well.

Williams is 23 years old and had previously signed a long-term contract with Bilbao for ten years, which included a release clause estimated at around 100 million euros, making his transfer possible if the clause is met or through negotiations.

The player hopes to test his abilities at the highest level after a disappointing season with Bilbao, which is in ninth place in the Spanish league, feeling that the club did not match his ambitions.
