A Palestinian delegation visited the Italian Parliament in Rome, led by Jibril Rajoub, President of the Palestinian Football Association and Chairman of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, accompanied by the Palestinian Ambassador to Italy, Mona Abu Amara, and several members of the delegation, as part of efforts to strengthen sports and diplomatic relations between Palestine and Italy.

During the visit, the coach of the Palestinian national team, Ihab Abu Jazar, was honored with the Golden Bench award, the highest coaching accolade in Italian football, in recognition of his significant contributions to the development of the game.

The Golden Bench Award is granted annually by the technical department of the Italian Football Federation at the Coverciano Center. It is considered one of the most prestigious awards highlighting technical and coaching excellence in Italy.

Rajoub emphasized the importance of this visit in strengthening the sports partnership between the two countries, praising the achievements of the technical staff of the Palestinian national team and their role in raising Palestine's profile in international forums.
