Torop Decides to Start Marwan Attia Against Royal Army
The newspaper "Al-Youm Al-Sabea" revealed that Al-Ahly's coach, Jes Torup, decided to start Marwan Atia in the match against FAR Rabat in the African Champions League.
Al-Ahly will face the Royal Army tomorrow, Sunday, in the sixth and final round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The newspaper clarified that the recent match between Al Ahly and Ismaily saw Marwan Attia on the bench, as the coaching staff preferred to bring him on as a substitute in the second half. This decision was made to rest him and avoid fatigue due to the pressure of domestic and continental matches.
Al Ahly secured a 2-0 victory over Ismaily last Wednesday in a postponed match from the 14th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
