Jesus Decides Ronaldo's Position for the Al-Fateh Match
The Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr has decided to call up his compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo to the team’s squad in preparation for the match against Al-Fateh tomorrow, Saturday, as part of the 22nd round of the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr will visit Al-Fateh at the "First Finance Field" in Al-Ahsa, following Ronaldo's absence from the team's recent matches against Al-Riyadh and Al-Ittihad in the league, as well as the match against Turkmenistan's Arkadag in the AFC Champions League 2.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" indicated that Jesus included 9 professionals in the match squad, among them Brazilians Pinto and Angelo, Portuguese players Joao Felix and Ronaldo, Frenchmen Simakan and Coman, Spaniard Inigo Martinez, Croatian Brozovic, and Senegalese Sadio Mane.
It is expected that Jesus will decide during the technical meeting which professional player will be excluded between the goalkeeper Pinto or his compatriot Angelo, in accordance with the regulations of the Professional Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, which allows the participation of 8 foreign players.
Jesus excluded Haider Abdulkarim and left-back Saad Al-Nasser from the Iraqi squad, while he included goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi to strengthen the team ahead of the important match.
Al-Nassr holds the third position in the Saudi Pro League standings with 49 points, after securing 16 victories, one draw, and three losses, which underscores the importance of Ronaldo's return to strengthen the attack.
