Tuesday 10-02-2026
Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has officially announced the end of his season following surgery due to a stress fracture in his foot, which prematurely ended his loan spell with Everton during the 2025/2026 season.

Grealish sustained the injury on January 18, admitting he felt deeply saddened by the unexpected end to his season. The 30-year-old player had joined Everton on a one-season loan from Manchester City and delivered impressive performances, scoring two goals and providing six assists in 22 matches across various competitions.

The injury occurred during Everton's match against Aston Villa, which ended with a 1-0 victory, delivering a significant blow that prematurely ended his campaign this season.

Grealish posted a picture of himself from the hospital bed on his Instagram account, writing: 'I didn’t want the season to end this way, but this is football. I feel deeply saddened. The surgery was successful, and my full focus is now on returning in the best shape. I am confident I will come back stronger, fitter, and better than I was.'

He added: 'The support I have received since joining this great club means a lot to me. The coaching staff, my fellow players, and especially the fans have been amazing. I truly love representing this club.'
