Intriguing Financial Details Behind Jon Duran's Loan to Zenit
A news report revealed significant financial gains made by Al-Nassr Club from the loan deal of Colombian striker John Duran to Zenit Saint Petersburg during the last winter transfer window.
The report clarified that John Duran's transfer was on a loan basis until the end of the current season, in a move aimed at achieving both technical and financial benefits for the capital club.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Al-Nassr's management received a sum of 2.7 million euros in exchange for loaning the player to Zenit.
The newspaper indicated that Doran had previously agreed with the Turkish club Fenerbahçe to transfer his salary, amounting to 10 million dollars until next June, in a single payment to the management of Al-Nassr for tax reasons.
Al-Nassr Club took on the responsibility of paying the player's salary on a monthly basis, as part of special financial arrangements agreed upon by all parties involved.
Al-Nassr had signed John Duran from English club Aston Villa in January 2023 for 70 million euros, before later loaning him to Fenerbahçe and then Zenit.
The Colombian striker played 18 matches for Al-Nassr across various competitions, scoring 12 goals. His contract with the club extends until 2030.
