Al-Nasr Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Before Jesus' Departure

The management of Al-Nassr Club attempted to persuade the Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus to continue with the team for the next season, following his unexpected decision to leave after winning the Saudi Roshan League title.

Abdullah Al-Majed, the president of Al-Nassr Club, confirmed that the management is currently working to dissuade Jesus from his decision, noting that there are ongoing meetings and attempts to convince him to stay within the club.

The president of Al-Nassr clarified that what was achieved last season represents the true status of the club, emphasizing that the team has always been accustomed to competing for championships and ascending to the podiums.

Al-Majed indicated that the club's management will start preparing for the new season immediately after the holiday break by supporting the team and making strong signings to compete in all championships.

On the other hand, sources close to the Portuguese coach revealed that Jesus is firm in his final decision, confirming that Al-Nassr's intensive attempts will not succeed in changing his stance on leaving.

The sources added that the Portuguese coach made his decision some time ago and does not intend to continue despite the great success he achieved by leading Al-Nassr to win the Saudi Roshn League title this season.

Jesus took over coaching Al-Nassr at the start of last season after leaving Al-Hilal, and he successfully led the team to win the league title following a strong competition that lasted until the final round.
