Al-Ittihad Club submitted an official protest to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, objecting to the participation of Abdullah Al-Hamdan, a player from Al-Nassr, during the "Clasico" match held at "Al-Awwal Park" as part of the Roshn League.

The match saw Abdullah Al-Hamdan come on as a substitute in the 90th minute, during the game that ended with Al-Nassr defeating Al-Ittihad 2-0, as part of the 21st round of the Saudi Professional League.

Hamdani joined Al-Nassr during the winter transfer window, which closed on February 2, after moving from Al-Hilal following the termination of his contract a few days before its official end.

The "Action with Waleed" program revealed that the Al-Ittihad management has filed an official protest, questioning the legality of the player's participation and demanding a review of the legal procedures related to his registration and involvement in the match.

The federation's move was based on the fact that Hamdan's transfer to Al-Nassr occurred after he unilaterally terminated his contract with Al-Hilal, just six days before the contract's end, raising legal questions about his eligibility to play.

Al-Nassr secured a clean 2-0 victory in the Clasico, with goals scored by Senegalese Sadio Mane and Brazilian Angelo, continuing the team's strong push in the race for the league title.

Al-Nassr holds the second position in the Roshan League standings with 49 points, narrowing the gap with the leading team, Al-Hilal, to just one point. Meanwhile, the sports community is awaiting the decision of the relevant authorities regarding the protest.
