The legal advisor Ahmed Al-Sheikhi sparked widespread controversy after revealing the possibility of the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, the coach of Al-Nassr, facing severe punishment due to his recent statements against his former club Al-Hilal.

Al-Sheikhi clarified that Jesus's statement cannot be linguistically interpreted as a criticism of internal policies, but rather it clearly indicates the presence of external influence, which could be classified as a serious disciplinary violation.

The legal advisor pointed out that his analysis was based on communication with arbitrators at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), as well as Portuguese-speaking international lawyers.

During a television appearance on the program "Nadina," Al-Sheikhi emphasized that the upcoming hearing will be decisive and could result in Jesus being suspended for an entire year if unlawful intent is proven.

He indicated that the Portuguese coach might avoid suspension if he manages to raise legal doubts, relying on the strict standards of proof in sports disciplinary cases.

He added that if Jesus succeeds in proving that his statements were about a project impact, the penalty might be reduced to just a financial fine without a lengthy suspension.

The controversy stems from Jesus' statements in which he said that Al-Nassr does not have the same political influence as Al-Hilal, considering that this affects how referees treat the players of both teams.
