The coaching staff of Saudi club Al-Nassr is closely monitoring the readiness of Croatian Marcelo Brozović for the upcoming match against Al-Ittihad next Friday as part of the 21st round of the Roshn Professional League.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Brozović is absent from Al-Nassr's recent matches against Al-Kholood and Al-Riyadh due to a thigh injury, raising concerns about his participation in the Clasico.
The player underwent light jogging and performed physical exercises in the gym, in addition to visiting the club's clinic, as part of the rehabilitation plan and to ensure his condition before the crucial match.
The newspaper confirmed that the final decision regarding Brozović's participation will be made on Thursday, after assessing his technical and physical readiness by the team's medical staff.
It is noted that Al-Nassr secured a victory over Al-Riyadh with a 1-0 win, courtesy of a goal by Sadio Mane in the previous round, to boost their chances in the competition for the top spot in the Saudi League.
Al-Nassr currently holds the second position in the Roshan League standings with 46 points, trailing by just one point behind the leading team, Al-Hilal, which increases the importance of Brozović's participation in the match against Al-Ittihad.
