Uncertainty Surrounds Ronaldo's Position for Al-Ittihad Clasico Despite Training Participation
Wednesday 04-02-2026
Sources confirmed to 'Al-Riyadiya' newspaper that Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr's first football team, has suspended his decision on participating in the Clasico match against Al-Ittihad, scheduled for next Friday, as part of the 21st round of the Saudi Roshn Professional League.

The sources explained that Ronaldo participated in the team's group training alongside Frenchman Kingsley Coman, but the Portuguese star has not yet informed the technical staff, led by his compatriot Jorge Jesus, of his final decision regarding playing in the match or not.

In the same context, the training sessions witnessed the participation of Saudi international Abdullah Al-Hamdan with his new team, but the Saudi Football Federation has not yet, at the time of preparing the report, given its official approval to register the player in Al-Nassr's roster.

According to the newspaper's report, Ronaldo may request to leave the Saudi league next June if the situation remains unchanged, despite his return to participate in the team's group training today in preparation for the upcoming match, amid reports indicating his anger over Karim Benzema's move to Al-Hilal and his belief that there is greater support for the blue club compared to other clubs.
