The Frenchman Christophe Galtier, the head coach of the Neom team, revealed the behind-the-scenes details of agreeing to the departure of player Simon Bouabri to join Al-Hilal during the winter transfer window, which closed on February 2nd. He confirmed that the decision was not easy at all.

During the introductory press conference for the Neom and Riyadh match, Galtier stated that Bouabri's transfer to Al-Hilal came after careful consideration, noting that the substantial financial offer and the technical capabilities provided by Al-Hilal to the player were decisive factors in completing the deal.

The Neom coach explained that he was surprised by the heavy focus on the player, revealing that there was continuous communication with the administrator, Saad Al-Lathee, regarding the deal before the management made its final decision. He added, "I discussed the matter with Saad, but the amount was too tempting, and I don't want to stand in the way of a talented player's future."

Galtier concluded his statements by affirming that Simon Bouabri deserves to play for a club the size of Al-Hilal, considering the deal an opportunity for the rest of Neom's players to prove themselves.
