Al Hilal Club has ended the controversy surrounding the future of Portuguese player Ruben Neves after reaching a final agreement to renew the midfielder's contract, putting an end to all recent speculations about his departure.

The management of Al-Hilal reached a full understanding with Neves to extend his contract, which was set to expire at the end of the current football season, allowing him to continue his journey with "Al-Za'eem" in the upcoming phase.

The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that Al Hilal's management will officially announce the renewal of Ruben Neves' contract today, Wednesday, after finalizing all contractual details between the two parties.

Al-Hilal signed Neves in the summer of 2023, coming from the English club Wolverhampton, with a contract extending for three seasons, as part of a project to strengthen the team with international players.

The decision to renew was made based on a direct recommendation from the Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, who emphasized the importance of Neves continuing in his pivotal role as one of the team's key pillars.

In the past period, the player hesitated before responding to Al Hilal's offer, amid reports of his desire to return to Europe, with interest from Italian and English clubs in acquiring his services.

Rúben Neves is having an impressive season with Al Hilal, having participated in 24 matches across various competitions, during which he scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists, underscoring his high technical value.
