The Spanish club Real Zaragoza announced the completion of a deal to sign Moroccan defender Jawad El Yamiq, as part of its efforts to strengthen its defensive lineup with the football season entering its critical stages.

Yamiq returns to the European fields after a period with Saudi club Al-Najma, where he had a brief stint in the Saudi league, before deciding to resume his professional career in Spain through the gateway of Real Zaragoza.

The Moroccan defender is 33 years old and is considered one of the names with significant experience due to his long career in several leagues. The team's coaching staff is counting on his presence and experience on the field.

Jawad El Yamiq previously played for Olympique Khouribga and Raja Casablanca in Morocco before embarking on professional experiences in Italy with Genoa and Perugia, then in Spain with Real Valladolid. He also had stints in the Saudi league with Al-Wehda and Al-Najma, and he is currently with Real Zaragoza.
