Ceballos: I Will Be Ready to Face Valencia, and the Victory Was Decisive
Monday 02-02-2026
Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos appeared in a press statement following the 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano in the 22nd round of the Spanish League, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The Spanish star said, "It was a tough win from start to finish. Our performance improved over time, and we reached their half of the field, where ten of their players were positioned under our goal. The team continued to press, and that resulted in the three points, which were crucial for us."

He added in his speech: "After Barcelona's win yesterday, the three points were essential to remain in the competition for the La Liga title. We played a good match, and I believe the team must continue to develop."

Regarding Siss's tackle on him: "I feel some pain, but I'm okay. It was part of the game. He apologized and tried to take the ball, and I somewhat anticipated his move. I think I'll be ready to continue after two days of rest. We have to go to Valencia and win."

Regarding the atmosphere at the Santiago Bernabéu: "It wasn't easy. The atmosphere was a bit tense because we couldn't create any danger, but we gradually improved. And when they added nine minutes as stoppage time, the crowd helped us once again to score the winning goal, 2-1. They deserve partial credit for that."

He concluded: "It is very important for us to rest and return with energy for training and the Valencia match. We have a whole week of rest, which we haven't had in a while. Now it's time to play the matches in the best possible way to secure three points in each game and strive for the league title."
