Wydad Adopts Electronic Tickets
The management of Wydad Athletic Club is preparing to implement an electronic ticketing system starting from the next match at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca, in response to the demands of its fans and to enhance the match attendance experience.
This decision came after a wave of widespread criticism expressed by the team's fans on social media platforms, who considered the traditional ticket withdrawal method impractical and incompatible with digital transformation, especially after the last match in the African Confederation Cup.
The new system is expected to alleviate the suffering of the fans, especially those coming from outside Casablanca, as they will no longer have to travel before the match day to collect tickets, saving time and effort and reducing congestion at sales points.
This mechanism will also contribute to improving organization, facilitating audience access to the stadium, reducing black market issues, and ensuring a more fair and transparent distribution of tickets.
It is noted that Wydad achieved an important victory in its last match against Maniema of Congo with a score of 1-0 in the third round of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, which boosted the team's chances in the continental competition.
