Al-Fateh Closes Door on Al-Hilal Regarding Defender's Contract
Tuesday 27-01-2026
Al-Fateh Club closed the door early on Al-Hilal's attempts to sign its defender Saeed Ba'athia during the current winter transfer period, refusing to give up one of its key players.

Journalistic sources revealed that the Al-Fateh management rejected a verbal offer made by Al-Hilal, valued at 8 million riyals, in exchange for agreeing to transfer Saeed Ba'atiyah to the blue team's ranks.

The Saudi sports newspaper confirmed that Al-Fateh officials insisted on retaining the player, given the need for his efforts during the upcoming phase of the current season.

Saeed Ba'atiyah is officially contracted with Al-Fateh Club until the end of the next season, which gives the management full authority to decide on his contractual future.

Agtiya participated in 19 matches wearing the Al-Fateh jersey this season, successfully assisting in one goal without scoring any himself, while providing consistent defensive performances.

On another note, Al-Hilal had drawn with Al-Riyadh in the 18th round of the Roshan Professional League, a result that did not satisfy the ambitions of its fans.

Al-Hilal is preparing to face Al-Qadisiyah next Thursday as part of the 19th round of the Saudi League, with the aim of returning to winning ways.
