Monday 26-01-2026
Al-Nassr continued to put pressure on the league leader Al-Hilal after securing an important 1-0 victory over their guest Al-Taawoun in the 18th round of the Saudi Roshn League, at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium.

Al-Nassr seized the only goal of the match before the end of the first half, after Mohammed Al-Dosari accidentally scored an own goal in the 45th minute, giving the home team the advantage.

The global team dominated the course of the match, with a possession rate of 59%, executing 9 shots towards Al-Taawoun's goal, amidst clear offensive superiority.

Goalkeeper Mailson shone remarkably, as he saved all of Al-Nassr's dangerous attempts, preventing the score from widening and keeping his team's hopes alive until the final minutes.

With this victory, Al-Nassr raised its tally to 40 points, placing second in the Saudi League standings, narrowing the gap with the leading Al-Hilal to five points.

On the other hand, Al-Taawoun's tally froze at 35 points in fifth place, missing the opportunity to get closer to the competition's top four.

This victory comes after Al-Nassr's win in the previous round against Damak with a score of two goals to one, confirming their return to winning form.
