Monday 26-01-2026
The "TEAMtalk" website revealed that Tottenham Hotspur received an official rejection from Paris Saint-Germain after attempting to sign South Korean star Lee Kang-in this month, as the French club confirmed that the player will not be leaving at the moment.

According to "TEAMtalk" reports, Tottenham was looking for a versatile forward capable of playing on the left side or across the front line, and their search included several prominent names such as Kenan Yildiz, Rodrigo, Ademola Lookman, and Savinho.

In this context, Tottenham made an offer to loan Lee Kang-in, who is considered one of the most creative players in the ranks of Paris Saint-Germain.

The source confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain has categorically refused to allow the player to leave, while coach Luis Enrique considers the 24-year-old player an important part of his squad, despite his limited appearances this season. He has participated in 21 matches, totaling 867 minutes in the French league, and played in the Champions League only five times, totaling 171 minutes as a substitute.

The same source indicated that Tottenham's interest was not exclusive, as Atletico Madrid also expressed a desire to sign Lee. However, Paris Saint-Germain responded with the same decisiveness, a direct refusal.

However, insiders believe that Lee might reassess his future next summer, giving Tottenham hope for a potential future deal. So far, Lee has not started any Champions League matches this season and often participates as a substitute, while he has started 11 matches in the French league.

Based on this information, Tottenham continues to search for additional attacking reinforcements after closing the door on Lee Kang-in's transfer.
