Roma Manager Clarifies Club's Stance on Signing Carrasco
Frederic Massara, the sporting director of the Italian club AS Roma, revealed the truth about his club's interest in signing Belgian Yannick Carrasco, the winger for Saudi Arabia's Al-Shabab team, during the current winter transfer window, amidst recent rumors about the "Wolves" entering the race to acquire the player.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who specializes in transfer market news, Masara confirmed that the Carrasco deal is currently complicated and cannot be considered an easy option to execute during the winter transfer window.
Masara said in his statements: "We admire the player Yannick Carrasco; he is a very good player with high quality. However, signing him is not easy at this stage," pointing out that there are several factors hindering the completion of the deal.
The sporting director of AS Roma clarified that the club's management is not currently considering a permanent purchase option. The Italian team's interest in signing Carrasco is limited to a loan deal only, with no intention of making a permanent deal in the near future.
