Sergio Ramos has entered a critical phase in his efforts to acquire Sevilla Club, after signing a letter of intent with several major shareholders in the club, granting him exclusivity for several months as the leading candidate to purchase the Andalusian entity.

According to what was revealed by the Spanish radio station 'Cadena SER', the former Real Madrid defender is closer than ever to officially entering the race to own the club, following weeks of verbal negotiations with the main shareholders in Sevilla.

Accompanying Ramos in this attempt is Martin Ince, his investment partner and president of Five Eleven Capital, as they both seek to acquire a majority of shares in the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan club. With the signing of the letter of intent, the phase of studying the club's financial situation now begins, with the size of the debts being a primary focus.

The famous financial audit process (Due Diligence) will be conducted again, a step that previously caused an American investment fund to withdraw, despite being ready to pay about 500 million euros, after it became aware of the club's difficult economic reality, burdened with significant debts.

According to sources, Ramos' potential offer, if the debt figures are manageable, will amount to approximately 450 million euros.

The Spanish newspaper 'AS' mentioned that Ramos is taking the idea of purchasing his home club very seriously and has intensified his recent communications with major shareholders, particularly the group currently managing the club. However, there are still crucial steps before the deal is finalized, in a process expected to extend over several months before reaching a final decision.
