Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, praised his player Bernardo Silva, confirming that he feels reassured and at ease when he decides to include him in matches.

Guardiola said with a smile: 'I sleep better when I decide to include Bernardo Silva, and this is important for my health.'

He added: 'Bernardo is a special kind of player, a true competitor, and he still has fire in his eyes. I hope he conveys this spirit to the rest of the group: how we defend every ball, and how we read what we need to do. The player who makes excuses forgets his mistakes and doesn't learn from them, and Bernardo never looks for excuses.'

The Spanish coach continued: 'He is special because of the way he competes in every game. Sometimes he can't because of extreme fatigue, but he is the most involved with me over 10 seasons here, simply because he is a great player.'

Guardiola concluded his remarks by referring to Silva's recent performance against Wolverhampton, confirming: 'If he plays as he did against Wolverhampton, it will be impossible to take him out of the lineup. Impossible. I can't...'.
