Leipzig Sets Price for Selling Jan Diomande
Press reports have revealed that the German club Leipzig does not intend to let go of their young star Yan Diomande during the upcoming summer transfer window, except for an amount not less than 100 million euros.
According to Florian Plettenberg, a journalist with Sky Sports, the Leipzig management appears calm about Diomande's future, especially after his return from participating with the Ivory Coast national team in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The same source indicated that the German club stipulated receiving at least 100 million euros to agree to sell the player in the summer, provided he maintains his technical performance during the second half of the season.
He also emphasized that Leipzig is not prepared to consider offers ranging from 60 to 70 million euros, despite the interest of several major European clubs in acquiring him.
The source added that Diomande is a candidate to become the most expensive sale in Leipzig's history, surpassing the deal of Croatian defender Gvardiol, which was valued at 90 million euros when he moved to Manchester City.
