Bayern Munich Places Yan Diomande Among Its Summer Priorities
Friday 23-01-2026
Bayern Munich continues its early moves in preparation for the summer transfer window, placing left-winger Yan Diomande as a second option on its shortlist after Dutchman Gevaro Read, as part of the Bavarian club's plan to strengthen this position with a young player capable of providing technical additions.

According to journalist Christian Falk, Bayern is ready to spend a significant amount to strengthen the left-wing position, but is unwilling to exceed a ceiling of 60 million euros to sign Diomande, despite great conviction in his technical capabilities.

Bayern's interest in the player comes in light of the remarkable performances Diomande is delivering this season with Leipzig, where he has established himself as one of the most prominent names in his position, alongside his brilliance with the Ivory Coast national team, making him a subject of interest from several major European clubs.

The same source added that Bayern's management sees the signing of Diomande as a matter of 'now or never', as any delay could open the way for his transfer to the English Premier League, which could make his future acquisition extremely difficult financially and competitively.
