Al Hilal Announces Yassine Bounou's Injury
The Saudi Al-Hilal Club, through an official statement published on its account on the 'X' platform, revealed the latest medical updates concerning several of the team's players, most notably the Moroccan international goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
The club clarified that Bounou underwent medical examinations at the 'Mina' clinic located at Al Hilal's headquarters after sustaining an injury to the front thigh muscle during his recent participation with the Moroccan national team. He is set to undergo additional MRI scans to determine the nature of the injury and the duration of his absence.
Al Hilal officially confirmed the absence of the Moroccan goalkeeper from the team's match against Al-Fayha, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, as part of the sixteenth round of the Saudi Professional League 'Roshn'.
In the same context, the statement indicated that player Salem Al-Dawsari is continuing his treatment and rehabilitation program, along with fitness training using the ball, as part of a gradual preparation plan for his return to competitions.
The club also reported that player Youssef Kashti missed the last training session due to suffering from pain in his hamstring. It was decided that he would be given rest and medical follow-up by the specialized team.
Al Hilal confirmed that the three cases are under continuous medical observation, awaiting developments in each player's health status before making a final decision regarding their readiness to participate in upcoming matches.
It is noted that Yassine Bounou was awarded the Best Goalkeeper prize at the Africa Cup of Nations finals held in Morocco, after contributing to the Moroccan national team's reach to the final match.
