Goalless Draw Decides the Match Between Al-Shabab and Al-Najma

A goalless draw was imposed in the match between Al-Shabab and Al-Najma, which took place on Tuesday evening at the SHG Arena in Riyadh, as part of the opening of the seventeenth round of the Roshn Saudi League.

The match witnessed intense competition between the two teams, but neither side succeeded in breaking the goalless deadlock despite numerous attempts throughout both halves.

After this draw, Al-Shabab increased their tally to 12 points in the standings, while Al-Najma added a new point to reach 4 points, continuing to struggle at the bottom of the table.

Al-Najma team took the initiative to attack early when the Iraqi player Ali Jassim fired a powerful shot, which Brazilian goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe confidently saved, catching the ball on the second attempt in the eighth minute.

The youth responded with successive attempts, most notably the Belgian Yannick Carrasco's run down the left side and his powerful shot that went just past the post, before Nejmeh's defense cleared a dangerous ball off the goal line.

The youth team continued their pressure in the second half, with Nejmeh's goalkeeper Victor Braga shining by saving several dangerous shots, including attempts from Carrasco and Basel Al-Sayyali.

The youthful team maintained their advantage until the final minutes, but their haste in front of the goal, combined with the solid defense and the goalkeeper's brilliance, prevented Al-Laith from securing the win, and the match ended in a goalless draw.
