Juventus Presents an Improved Offer to Sign Mateta
Tuesday 20-01-2026
Tutto Sport confirmed that Juventus has made an improved offer to sign French striker Jean-Philippe Mateta from Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season, with a purchase option of €30.5 million that becomes mandatory if the Bianconeri qualify for any European competition this season.

The newspaper explained that the new offer comes after Crystal Palace rejected Juventus' initial bid last week, noting that the English club has lowered its financial demands during the winter transfer window to 35 million euros for the player, which is 10 million less than the price set last summer.

The same source indicated that Juventus has already reached a verbal agreement with Mateta on a four-year contract with an annual salary of 3.5 million euros. However, the report warned that a final agreement must also be reached with the player's agent regarding financial commissions.

Juventus aims to complete the deal before the team's upcoming Serie A match against Napoli, as part of its preparations to strengthen the attack in the second half of the season.
