Revealing the New Technical Staff Members of the Tunisia National Team
Tuesday 20-01-2026
After the Tunisian Football Federation previously announced the appointment of Sabri Lamouchi as the new head coach of the "Carthage Eagles" national team, the new technical staff members were revealed today.

These new appointments come as replacements for the previous technical staff led by Sami Trabelsi, who was dismissed following the disappointing exit from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where the Tunisian team was eliminated in the round of 16 by Mali on penalties, despite the opponent playing most of the match with a numerical disadvantage, which sparked widespread public anger and criticism of the team's performance.

The new technical staff includes a complete lineup, with Mikael Hevely serving as the first assistant, Youssef Mouihbi as the second assistant, Olivier Bedimas as the goalkeeping coach, and Cedric Bloom as the fitness coach, in addition to the recent retired star Wahbi Khazri being appointed as the general coordinator.

Lamouchi, the French coach of Tunisian origin who previously led the Ivory Coast national team, signed a contract extending until July 2028, with high hopes of achieving positive results and erasing the negative image left by the recent African participation.
