Shobeir Attacks One of Al Ahly's New Signings
Sports presenter Ahmed Shobeir shocked Al Ahly fans after criticizing one of the club's new signings.
Shobeir said on his program "With Shobeir": "I'm going to say something that might upset Al Ahly fans. Ahmed Eid has passed the medical examination and has indeed signed with Al Ahly for three and a half years. But I want to tell you that Ahmed Eid is coming as a replacement for Omar Kamal Abdel Wahid."
He added: "Hossam Hassan included Ahmed Eid in the national team list after his impressive performance with Al-Masry and also his good appearance in the last Olympics. But I’m telling you, the player is coming as a substitute, and Mohamed Hani is the main right-back at Al Ahly. However, Ahmed Eid has every right to compete with him."
He concluded: "Honestly, I'm very surprised about how you went ahead and signed Ahmed Eid, when you already had Omar Kamal Abdelwahid, and Ibrahim Al-Asyouti also emerged—a promising player. We thought, finally, you started to rely on and give opportunities to the youth, and suddenly Al-Ahly decides to sign Ahmed Eid."
