Al-Zawraa Club of Iraq clarified its true position regarding the circulating news about the transfer of its player Haidar Abdul Karim to the Saudi club Al-Nassr during the current winter transfer window.

Ahmed Saeed, the media coordinator for Al-Zawraa Club, confirmed that Haider Abdul Karim's transfer deal has not been officially finalized yet, noting that negotiations between the two parties are still ongoing.

Saeed explained in statements to Al-Yaum newspaper that the current dispute revolves around financial aspects, noting that the coming hours may witness decisive developments regarding the player's future.

Earlier press reports indicated that Al-Nassr's management was close to finalizing an agreement with Al-Zawraa to sign Haider Abdul Karim and register him under the category of underage players.

The reports added that Al-Nassr's moves came amid close monitoring of the player, following his impressive performance in the matches between Al-Nassr and Al-Zawraa in this season's AFC Champions League.

It is worth mentioning that Haider Abdul Karim earned the admiration of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the manager of Al-Nassr, which strengthened the club's desire to sign him during the current January transfer window.
