Al-Nassr Ends Its Biggest Crisis in Iraq.. What's the Story!
Saudi press reports revealed on Monday evening the success of Al-Nassr Saudi club in finalizing its first signing during the current winter transfer period, as part of the club management's efforts to address the crisis the team is suffering from in the midfield.
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus is seeking to strengthen Al-Alami’s squad with several influential names to compete strongly for all titles during the remainder of the season, both locally and continentally, amid the pressure of matches and multiple commitments.
The Saudi sports newspaper Al-Riyadiyah reported that Al-Nassr management reached a final agreement with the Iraqi club Al-Zawraa to sign the young midfielder Haider Abdul Karim, in a step aimed at reinforcing the midfield and providing the technical staff with additional options capable of making a difference in decisive matches.
The newspaper mentioned that this move is part of Al-Nassr’s management strategy to build a balanced team combining elements of experience and youth, focusing on players with high technical and physical capabilities.
The same sources confirmed that Al-Nassr management is currently working to complete the administrative and financial procedures related to the deal, including coordination with official authorities, in preparation for signing the contract officially in the coming days, after completing travel arrangements and conducting the necessary medical examinations for the player.
Reports indicated that Al-Nassr intends to register Haider Abdul Karim as a homegrown player, making him the third player to be registered in this category alongside Brazilians Wesley Teixeira and Angelo Gabriel, which provides the team with greater tactical flexibility and wider options in the lineup.
The addition of Abdul Karim is considered important given the player’s outstanding physical abilities and high fighting spirit in midfield, as well as his proficiency in linking the lines and playmaking, which contributes to enhancing both the team's offensive strength and defensive solidity simultaneously.
Haider Abdul Karim is 21 years old and has participated with Al-Zawraa club in 12 matches during the current season of the Iraqi Stars League, during which he scored two goals, continuing to attract attention with his distinguished performance, especially given the previous complaints of coach Jorge Jesus about the lack of options in midfield, which pushed him in some matches to change the position of player Angelo and rely on him as an advanced midfielder.
