German club Schalke 04 is considering the possibility of signing Bosnian striker Edin Džeko during the current winter transfer window, in order to strengthen their attacking line with significant offensive experience, as the club seeks to improve its results in the second half of the season.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Schalke is monitoring the situation of 39-year-old Džeko and evaluating the possibility of making an official move to sign him, both from a sporting and financial perspective, benefiting from his extensive experience in European football.

This season, Džeko is having a new experience with the Italian club Fiorentina, where he has participated in 18 matches across various competitions, scoring two goals, continuing to be an influential player despite his advancing age.

On the other hand, French club Paris FC has shown serious interest in signing the Bosnian striker, who previously shone with Manchester City, Roma, and other clubs, which could ignite competition for his services during the winter transfer market.

Džeko has an impressive record in German football, having previously excelled with Wolfsburg, where he was one of the Bundesliga's top stars and led the team to win the Bundesliga title, which enhances his appeal as an option for Schalke.
