The Tunisian Football Federation has officially announced the signing of coach Sabri Lamouchi to take over the role of the national team coach, with a contract extending until July 31, 2028, succeeding the former coach Sami Trabelsi who was dismissed following the elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.

This decision comes as part of a comprehensive review of technical options after the recent continental exit, as the federation seeks to inaugurate a new phase based on technical stability and achieving results that align with the ambitions of the Tunisian sports community in upcoming competitions.

Sabri Lamouchi is a French coach of Tunisian origin, a former great player, and has a well-known coaching career. He previously managed the Ivory Coast national team and led them to win the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. He also coached the Qatari club Al-Jaish and had an experience in English football with Nottingham Forest.

Lamouchi is known for his tactical discipline, leadership personality, and work in various competitive environments, which the Tunisian Football Federation relies on to lead the national team in the coming period and build a team capable of competing continentally and internationally.
