Caio César Surprises Al Hilal Staff with Controversial Behavior Before Al Nassr Match
Monday 12-01-2026
Brazilian player Caio César, who plays for Al Hilal, unexpectedly left the King Fahd Stadium after being excluded from the team's lineup ahead of the match against Al Nassr in the fifteenth round derby of the Roshn Saudi League.

The decision by Italian coach Simone Inzaghi to exclude Caio from the final match squad was based on tactical considerations related to the number of foreign players allowed in each game.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Yaum" explained that Caio Cesar refused to stay on the field after the coaching staff chose to register the new Spanish defender Pablo Marí instead of him.

The actions of the Brazilian winger sparked controversy among the fans, especially since the match carries a highly competitive nature as the much-anticipated Riyadh derby.

In recent hours, discussions about Caio César's future with Al-Hilal have increased, amid speculations suggesting the possibility of his departure during the current winter transfer window.

Caio joined Al Hilal last season, coming from Vitória Guimarães in Portugal, in a deal worth 10 million euros.

It is noted that Al Hilal ended the first half of the match against Al Nassr trailing 1-0, with the goal scored by the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
