Al-Nassr Decides Pinto's Fate Definitively Before Riyadh Derby
Sunday 11-01-2026
Al-Nassr Club's management has made a definitive decision regarding the Brazilian goalkeeper Pinto Matheus, ahead of the anticipated match against Al-Hilal in the Riyadh Derby within the Roshn Saudi League.

Al-Nassr is preparing to face Al-Hilal on Monday evening at the Kingdom Arena Stadium, as part of the fifteenth round of the Saudi Professional League.

Sports journalist Ali Al-Anzi, who is close to Al-Nassr's circles, revealed that Pinto is completely out of the team's plans for the derby match against Al-Hilal.

Al-Anzi explained on his account on the X platform that Al-Nassr's management decided to exclude the Brazilian goalkeeper, despite recent rumors about the possibility of including him in the match squad.

This decision came after previous reports indicated that Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus wanted to keep Pinto until the end of the derby before completing his transfer procedures to Italian club Genoa.

Pinto has already agreed to Genoa's offer to join them during the current winter transfer window, as he has been absent from Al-Nassr's starting lineup this season.

The technical staff of Al-Nassr relies on goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi in Saudi League matches, while Pinto's participation has been limited only to the AFC Champions League, with just 2 appearances.
