Saudi club Al Hilal has officially announced the completion of its contract with Spanish defender Pablo Marí, who is joining from Italian club Fiorentina, as part of its activities in the ongoing winter transfer market.

Al Hilal announced the signing through its official account on the "X" platform, confirming Pablo Marí's joining the team without disclosing the financial details of the contract.

The contract with the Spanish defender came at the direct request of Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, who sought to strengthen the defense during the current transfer window.

Inzaghi decided to restructure the team's defense, after letting go of Ali Al-Bulaihi, along with no longer needing the Portuguese João Cancelo for the upcoming phase.

Pablo Mari, 32 years old, has participated in 16 matches with Fiorentina this season, without managing to score or assist any goals.

Al Hilal is preparing for an anticipated match against their rival Al Nassr tomorrow evening, as part of the 15th round of the Saudi Pro League (Roshn Saudi League) competition.

Al Hilal leads the Saudi League standings with 35 points, four points ahead of Al Nassr, who are in second place.
