The management of Al Hilal Club is intensifying its efforts in the current hours to expedite the arrival of Spanish defender Pablo Marí to the capital, Riyadh, in preparation for integrating him into the first team.

Al Hilal has completed all contractual procedures with Pablo Marí, arriving from Italy's Fiorentina, as part of the ongoing winter transfer window deals, according to sources from Al-Riyadiyah newspaper.

The capital club's management is heading towards an official announcement of the deal soon, in an attempt to finalize the matter before the highly anticipated Riyadh derby against Al-Nassr next Monday evening.

The contract with the Spanish defender came at the direct request of the Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, especially given his exclusion of Ali Al-Bulaihi and the absence of Kalidou Koulibaly due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Al Hilal has the right to register Pablo Marí in their local roster during the winter transfer window, with the decision regarding his participation against Al Nassr subject to Inzaghi's evaluation from both a technical and physical perspective.

The coaching staff is eagerly awaiting the player's arrival as soon as possible to finalize his status for participating in the derby, whether as a starter or from the bench.

Pablo Marí has previously played for several prominent clubs in Europe and South America, with his stint at English club Arsenal between 2020 and 2022 being one of the highlights of his football career.
