Manchester City officially announced today their signing of Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo from English club Bournemouth on a contract running until the summer of 2031, in a prominent deal that stands out as one of the major transfers of the winter season in the English Premier League.

Semenyo joins City's ranks after the club activated the release clause in his contract with Bournemouth, valued at around £62.5–65 million with potential future add-ons, in a deal expected to rebalance the competition for the Premier League title.

Antoine Semenyo is 26 years old (born January 7, 2000), standing 1.85 m tall and weighing 78 kg. He has risen to prominence in recent years thanks to his clear development as a winger and forward, having started his journey through several academies and loan spells early on before establishing himself with Bristol City and then Bournemouth.

During his time with Bournemouth in the Premier League, Semenyo delivered excellent stats, featuring in over 100 league matches, scoring about 30 goals and providing 10 assists, confirming his role as an effective forward capable of making a difference in big games.

In the current season (2025-26), before his move to City, Semenyo scored 10 goals and made 3 assists in 20 Premier League matches, which helped attract the attention of England's top clubs toward his services.

Under the guidance of head coach Pep Guardiola, Semenyo hopes to continue his development and add more strength and attacking options to a team competing for all domestic and continental trophies, while City fans look forward to seeing his contributions in the quest for titles.
