Coach Hans Flick called up 24 players from the Barcelona team to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to participate in the Spanish Super Cup, which kicks off this Wednesday with the first semifinal match against Athletic Bilbao, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

This event will be the first opportunity for several first-team players to win their first title with Barça, including the three summer signings, Juan Garcia, Rashford, and Roni Bardji.

Juan Garcia is considered the most prominent signing this season after his standout performance in the derby against Espanyol, earning the title of best player, and he is guaranteed a starting position against Athletic Bilbao. Meanwhile, Englishman Marcus Rashford has delivered an impressive performance this season by scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists in 25 matches, while Bardji has gained good playing time in 13 matches.

Marc Bernal is participating in the Super Cup for the first time after recovering from last season’s injury, while the three academy players Drew, Tommy Marquez, and Joffrey Torrents will be participating in the tournament for the first time with the first team, as none of them have had significant playing time this season.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport," Tommy Marquez has not yet played officially, while Joffrey Torrents has played four matches this season and was part of the summer Asia tour alongside Drew.

Except for Bernal, the league champion last season, the Spanish Super Cup will be the first official title with the first team for most of the players, making the tournament important for them to start their journey with Barcelona.
