Friday 09-01-2026
Syrian striker Mahmoud Al-Mawas, player of the Police team, announced his challenge to his team's rivals in the Iraqi Stars League during the upcoming matches, especially those held at the "Cage" stadium.

Al-Mawas participated in his team's match against Zakho in the tenth round of the competition, where Police managed to achieve a 1-0 victory in a match that witnessed great competitiveness and difficulty.

Police played their first match at the "Cage" stadium after an absence of 14 years, as the stadium underwent rehabilitation and maintenance works. The procedures were halted on several occasions due to administrative and financial reasons before it returned to service again.

After the important victory, Mahmoud Al-Mawas said in his talk with the Green Harp fans: "With your presence, we stand out and become stronger, and we hope you attend strongly in all matches. The league is still long and we can make up in the upcoming matches, and we look forward to earning more points."

He added: "At the Cage stadium, we will be a tough challenge for all competitors, and no one will escape from us. Anyone who comes to our stadium will not leave with any points because victory will be on our side. From now on, there will be no negative results, and we will play in the best possible way to make you happy and achieve your ambitions."
