The Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that FC Barcelona is in a race to sign the young Croatian defender Branimir Milašić, a player for Hajduk Split, alongside interest from both Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund.

Malasik is 18 years old and is under contract with Hajduk Split until 2029. He is considered one of the most promising emerging talents in the center-back position. According to the newspaper, the player primarily uses his right foot, although Barcelona usually prefers to look for a left-footed defender. However, he is also capable of using his left foot.

The Spanish newspaper pointed out that the player's position aligns with Barcelona's need in the winter transfer market to strengthen the defense with an additional defender, which coach Hans Flick recently hinted at. His market value is estimated to be around four million euros.

Malasik, a graduate of the Hajduk Split Academy and a player for the Croatia under-21 national team, stands out with an impressive height of 1.92 meters and notable physical strength, along with a good ability to build play from the back.
