Medical Report Decides Simakan's Participation with Al-Nassr Against Al-Qadsiah
French defender Mohamed Simakan of Al-Nassr Saudi Club continues his treatment and rehabilitation program as he strives to recover from his recent injury and return to participate with his team in the near future.
According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, the head coach of Al-Nassr, will receive the final medical report on Simakan's condition on Monday, which will determine his readiness to participate in the upcoming match against Al-Qadsiah scheduled for next Thursday.
The newspaper pointed out the possibility of postponing the return of the French defender in order to fully prepare him before the highly anticipated Riyadh derby against Al-Hilal, scheduled for January 12th, out of concern for his safety and to avoid risking a new setback.
Simakan suffered a hamstring tear during Al-Nassr's training sessions ahead of their match against Iraq's Al-Zawraa in the AFC Champions League, causing him to miss leading the defense. He had participated in 15 matches for the team this season and scored two goals, according to Transfermarkt.
