Yahya Zakaria, a star player of Ghazl El Mahalla, spoke about the incident of his sending off during the match against Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League.

Zakaria said in statements on the program "Nile League Stars" on "On Sport FM" radio: "What happened in the Zamalek match was an involuntary action. I learned a lot from it and gained experience. Thank God, I have been progressing well with the team since then. I was shocked for several days after the incident, unable to believe what happened. I went through many scenarios of the match in my mind, and I am convinced that better things are coming for me, God willing."

He added: "I apologized to the fans for the incident in the Zamalek match. The team lost, and the red card was definitely one of the reasons for that. The team played the full 90 minutes with ten players, so it was necessary to apologize to the fans and the management."

He continued: "Ahmed Eid Abdel Malik has played a significant role in my football career after God Almighty. He was determined to sign me from Misr El-Makasa and resolved an issue that would have delayed my joining Ghazl El Mahalla. I want to thank him for everything he has done for me. After that, I joined the team in the Professional League and helped contribute to their promotion to the Premier League."

He concluded his statements by saying: "Alaa Abdel Aal has also played a significant role in my football career. He is the reason for my outstanding and consistent performance this season. He gave me full confidence and great freedom, and thank God I was up to the responsibility. God willing, we will finish the season among the top seven with the support of the great El Mahalla fans."
