Al-Zawraa team secured an important victory against their counterpart Al-Kahrabaa with a 1-0 win, in the match that brought the two teams together at Al-Zawraa Stadium, as part of the ninth round of the Iraqi Stars League, amid a moderate crowd attendance.

The match witnessed a clear advantage for Al-Zawraa from the very first minutes, as they imposed their control over the first half in terms of ball possession, continuous pressure on Al-Kahrabaa's goal, and creating many dangerous opportunities.

On the other hand, Al-Kahrabaa relied on defensive organization and attempts to exploit quick counterattacks available during the match.

The only goal of the match came from player Hassan Abdulkarim “Qawqia” in the 41st minute, after he managed to shake the net with a beautiful shot, giving the Seagulls squad the lead before the end of the first half, which ended with Al-Zawraa leading 1-0.

In the second half, Al-Zawraa continued their superiority and control over the course of play, trying to strengthen the result, while Al-Kahrabaa continued relying on defense and counterattacks, without succeeding in reaching Al-Zawraa's goal effectively, and the match ended with the same result.

With this victory, Al-Zawraa raised their points to 17, occupying the eleventh place in the standings, while Al-Kahrabaa's points remained at 5 in seventeenth place, continuing their struggle at the bottom of the table.
