FIFA Chooses Dubai to Host The Best Awards Ceremony 2026
Swiss Gianni Infantino, President of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), announced a partnership with the Dubai Sports Council to host the Best Awards ceremony in the world during the upcoming year 2026.
Infantino made the announcement during his participation in the Global Sports Summit that started in Dubai a few days ago, where he confirmed that the choice of the emirate reflects its growing status as a major global destination for hosting prominent international sporting events.
The FIFA President explained that the anticipated ceremony, which will be held in Dubai next year, will, as usual, crown the best player in the world, the best coach, and the best team, alongside a number of other individual awards presented annually by the International Federation of Association Football.
This step comes as part of FIFA's strategy to enhance its global presence and open up to new markets, relying on cities that possess advanced infrastructure and extensive experience in organizing major sporting events.
